Job Position: Systems Analyst (Restaurant Technology)

Location: Harrison, NJ

Permanent position, Full Time, M-F, 40 hours per week.

Job description:         

Analyze, configure, and support restaurant point-of-sale (POS), online ordering, payment processing, and delivery-integration systems to ensure accurate order flow, billing, transaction reconciliation, and inventory updates. Configure POS systems to support highly customizable menus with multiple modifiers, pricing variables, and combination offerings, ensuring accurate order capture, kitchen routing, pricing logic, and data consistency across systems. Evaluate and integrate restaurant technology platforms with third-party systems, including delivery aggregators, inventory management tools, accounting software, and customer loyalty programs. Monitor system performance, uptime, and data accuracy across restaurant technology platforms; identify root causes of system errors and implement corrective technical solutions. Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for system issues related to POS terminals, cloud-based applications, APIs, and backend services, coordinating fixes with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers on software upgrades, patches, integrations, and system enhancements to ensure minimal disruption to restaurant operations. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration specifications, data flow mappings, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures. Analyze operational data generated by restaurant systems to identify inefficiencies, system bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities; recommend technical improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and reliability. Support system security and compliance by implementing access controls, monitoring system logs, and assisting with data protection and payment-security requirements. Provide ongoing technical support to restaurant staff regarding system functionality, issue escalation, and best practices for technology usage.

Education & Experience required:

Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in CS, Engg (any), IT, CIS, or a directly related field + 24 months of experience in any related occupation.
